On 18 January 2011, a team of 3 volunteersfrom DELL visited Government Model Senior Secondary School in Kharar, which isone of the three schools in Mohali, where DELL Connected Classrooms were establishedin 2010. The focus of the visit was not only to engage with teachers and studentsbut also to provide volunteers to with the opportunity to learn about theopportunities that DELL has provided to underserved students.

The bouquet of activities consisted of :
1. Training teachers on effective use of Microsoft Powerpoint presentation in making quizzes.
2.Engaging with grade IX students in enacting a play in English, based on a story from their curriculum
3. Conducting Group discussions with Grade 7 students.

These engagements often result in broadening of perspectives of students and motivating them as majority of them aspire to become professionals. The feedback from students indicated that one of the biggest take-away for them is the confidence gained through such interactions.
The long term objective of these engagements is to address areas of concern collaboratively.
